Heat Pump

The ultimate ecological heating.

A heat pump uses electricity to transfer heat from air, ground or water. Have building demand, flow temperature, seasonal efficiency and noise assessed for the offered model.

Reliable and Refined Design

Built-in defrost technology and a sleek gray finish that blends in with the surroundings.

Advanced Heating

Check power and COP at the design outdoor temperature and required water temperature instead of combining two brochure maxima.

Extremely Quiet

Assess noise at the receiving location under day and night operation and required output.

Connected System

Remote control via LG BECON cloud for intelligent management without on-site intervention.

In-Depth Guide

Expertise beyond the product

Decoding Performance: Understanding COP and SCOP

The efficiency of a heat pump (PAC) cannot be measured like that of a traditional boiler. As an independent platform, we invite you to pay particular attention to two indicators when analyzing your quotes:

  • The COP (Performance Coefficient): Indicates the immediate yield. A COP of 4 means that for 1 kWh of electricity consumed, the pump returns 4 kWh of heat.
  • The SCOP (Seasonal Performance Coefficient): A crucial indicator for the Swiss climate, it calculates the average performance over the entire heating season. Require a SCOP greater than 3.5.

The Technological Revolution: Why R290 Fluid changes everything

The heat pump market is currently undergoing a major change with the introduction of new refrigerants.

  • Refrigerants: R290 and R410A do not deplete the ozone layer. Their global warming potentials differ greatly. R290 is flammable; follow manufacturer requirements for location and safety.
  • Renovation: check heat loss and radiator output at the planned flow temperature. A high maximum temperature does not prove the system will be efficient or suitable.

Noise and Cantonal Regulations: The “Noise Circle”

The main concern homeowners have about air-water heat pumps is noise pollution.

  • Machines that have become silent: The latest generation models (Inverter, profiled blades) emit a sound level comparable to the hum of a refrigerator (often less than 35 dB(A) at 3 meters).
  • Noise: request the assessment required by the authority, including location, distances, reflections and night mode. Include this service in the quote.

New or Renovation: Which Strategy to Adopt?

The choice of your equipment fundamentally depends on the type of your building:

  • Renovation: compare emitter upgrades, electrical work, hydraulics and schedule; timing depends on the project.
  • New construction: size the pump and emitters to demand. Cooling requires a compatible configuration and condensation control.

The Perfect Synergy: Heat Pump and Solar

The heat pump extracts energy from the air, but requires electricity. Solar coupling allows maximum energy independence:

  • Solar controls: check interfaces and modes actually compatible between pump, inverter and EMS. The SG Ready label alone does not describe the full integration.
  • Hot water: thermal storage can absorb some surplus. Observe hygiene, permitted temperatures, scald protection and losses. Simulate winter separately.

Financing and Subsidies: The Buildings Program

The initial investment is absorbed significantly by the Confederation and the cantons:

  • Grants: the programme depends on canton, replaced heating and project. Confirm criteria and submission before works where required.
  • Tax: confirm eligible costs and grant treatment for your building and tax year.
  • Application: the contract must identify who submits each request, supplies documents and follows the decision.
