A budget example you can check
Gross budget equals capacity multiplied by the cost assumption. Only the Pronovo estimate for a surface-mounted system is deducted here. An integrated system differs technically: do not assume identical installation costs without a quotation. Roof renovation, battery, additional grid reinforcement and tax effects are excluded.
| Power | Gross — model | Pronovo — surface-mounted | Net — model |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 kWp | CHF 13200–16800 | CHF 2160 | CHF 11040–14640 |
| 8 kWp | CHF 17600–22400 | CHF 2880 | CHF 14720–19520 |
| 10 kWp | CHF 22000–28000 | CHF 3600 | CHF 18400–24400 |
What the quote should detail
Modules and an inverter do not make a complete quotation. Check scaffolding, mounting, electrical work, waterproofing, metering, connection, commissioning and grant-application documents. Specify who approves additional work and whether VAT and removal are included. Unclear exclusions make comparison harder than a difference in module prices.
Request exact model numbers, kWp capacity, a layout and a generation simulation. Product, performance and installation warranties differ: check the provider, duration, exclusions, labour costs and fault procedures. A long module warranty does not automatically cover scaffolding and replacement.
Self-consumption, feed-in and future costs
Value avoided purchases at the variable tariff actually saved. Fixed and metering charges do not disappear automatically. Price surplus using the applicable feed-in contract and specify whether guarantees of origin are included. An annual average may be insufficient for seasonal or dynamic prices.
A heat pump and EV change both the amount and timing of consumption. Compare battery and no-battery options using the same assumptions. More annual generation does not eliminate grid purchases on winter nights. Test a cautious scenario with lower generation and lower feed-in payments.
