Complete approach — step by step
Prepare your Pronovo file
For a typical residential installation of less than 100 kWp, the Small Unique Retribution Pronovo is requested after commissioning, with the installation documents. The amount must be confirmed with the Pronovo tariff calculator at the time of the quote. Large projects have different scheduling rules: have the exact case confirmed by the installer before signing.
Check the cantonal marker: No general cantonal PV subsidy
Fribourg specifies that financial aid for photovoltaic installations is managed centrally by Pronovo. The canton supports other measures of the Buildings Program, in particular solar thermal, renewable heating, insulation and certain renovations. Before including this item in your budget, check the conditions, schedule and official link: https://www.fr.ch/deef/sde/programmes-de-subventions-en-matiere-denergie.
Check municipal aid
Programmes depend on the municipality and available funds. Obtain written confirmation of amounts, timing, limits and combined support for your address before including them in the budget. Contact your municipality or local energy department directly and ask for written confirmation. Do not promise municipal assistance in your calculation until the regulation applicable to your address is confirmed.
Check tax treatment
Have your tax service or tax adviser confirm the rules applicable to the year of work, the building and the aid received. A deduction from income is not a refund of the same amount. No flat rate tax savings are included here.
Carry out the work with an authorized company
Electrical work must be carried out or supervised by an authorized company. The Pronovo file can be prepared by the owner or a mandated third party; specify by contract who collects the documents and follows the payment.
Payment of subsidies
After receipt of the installation report and validation of your file, Pronovo pays the federal subsidy according to its schedule. Targeted cantonal, municipal or Buildings Program aid follows its own deadlines; only deduct them from the final invoice after confirmation.
