Choose a solar brand in Switzerland: models, warranties and service

Assess a brand through the actual supplied models, warranties and service. Separate panels, conversion and storage. A general ranking does not determine the best equipment for your roof.

Identify what you are buying

Separate panels, inverter, battery and controls. Enphase, Huawei or Sigenergy may identify a conversion or storage architecture without identifying the panels in the quotation. Specify manufacturer, complete model, quantity and characteristics for every component. A list of popular brands does not replace this description.

Check the panel series

LONGi describes Hi-MO X6 and X10 as back-contact families; they should not all be called TOPCon. SOLYCO distinguishes Design, Pro and Boost, with different models and technologies. For SunPower or Maxeon, identify the manufacturer and warranty provider for the offered product. For existing LG NeON panels, use the original documents: LG Electronics announced the closure of its panel business. None of these names alone establishes your system’s annual generation or service life.

Compare warranties you can use

Request the model’s product and power warranties applicable to your country and purchase. Identify the claims provider and required evidence. Check registration, transport, labour and roof access. A long contractual term is not a ranking of measured reliability; a commercial ranking does not guarantee payment for a future claim.

Obtain delivery and service commitments

Have the seller confirm model, quantity, delivery and substitution terms. Identify the Swiss service and replacement provider, with costs and responsibilities in writing. If an identical replacement becomes unavailable, ask which compatible solution would be used. Brand origin establishes neither local stock, every model’s manufacturing country nor your installer’s service quality.

Choose using comparable offers

For the same roof layout, compare installable capacity, monthly simulation, direct consumption and total price. For a battery or backup, check the corresponding configuration and accessories. Use the same tariff, consumption and maintenance assumptions. Choose an offer whose differences are explained by data and concrete commitments rather than a verdict applied to every building.
