1. Define the surface and constraints
Survey orientation, windows, balconies, obstacles and existing materials. Specify active areas, finishing elements and cable routes. Examine colours and joints using a sample. Ask how wind, public access and building conditions affect system selection.
2. Assess the facade system
Specify mounting, weatherproofing, ventilation, insulation and applicable fire requirements. Define facade and electrical responsibilities, testing and handover documents. Check element replacement, material compatibility and connection protection. A module data sheet does not validate every possible assembly.
3. Compare useful energy by season
Request monthly simulation including balcony shadows, horizon, modules and electrical losses. Compare the facade with other available surfaces on the same building. Separate generation, simultaneous consumption and feed-in. A useful winter profile does not mean constant output or complete heating coverage.
4. Establish costs and building procedures
Compare conventional and solar facades including removal, structure, finishing, access, electrical work and service. Verify advertised grants and conditions for this integration. Confirm administrative procedures and facade rights before ordering; rooftop rules do not automatically apply to walls. Request replacement costs and timing and access to generation data.
