Cautious overview of the aid available in 2026: Federal Pronovo, targeted local aid and taxation, without an invented cantonal package.
The Swiss photovoltaic support system is useful, but you have to distinguish between what is federal, local and really guaranteed for your project.
The Single Payment (RU) Pronovo. This is the basis: federal aid paid after commissioning for typical small photovoltaic installations of less than 100 kWp. For 8 kWp, use the official rater according to the applicable scale and configuration. Prepare the information from the quote, but do not confuse PRONOVO with cantonal aid.
Cantonal or local aid. They are not automatic. Geneva has a SIG 2026 Solar Prime under conditions. Neuchâtel targets in particular domestic batteries and large PV roofs. Vaud, Fribourg, Valais, Bern and Jura mainly refer the standard PV to Pronovo or to separate building programs. Municipalities can add aid, but it must be confirmed municipality by municipality.
Tax deduction. Energy investments can be deductible according to cantonal and municipal rules. The effect depends on your taxable income, the type of building and the tax treatment of the assistance received.
Buyer Strategy. Budget Pronovo first, then add only local aid confirmed by an official source or written response. Ask the quote to separate guaranteed amounts, probable amounts and assumptions.
