What this changes for your decision
Local electricity communities, virtual RCP and minimum remuneration become operational from 2026. This guide shows the elements to check in the quote and contract.
For your project, the item “legal calendar” should be explained in terms of the building, consumption, grid connection and contract. Ask for the source, date and, for calculated values, the method used.
For your project: For each local community, virtual self-consumption or tariff rule, note its date and scope. Check what applies to your installation, meter and contract.
Three checks before signing
1. Local rate
Use the purchase and feed-in tariff published by your network manager, with its validity date.
2. Consumption profile
Separate daily consumption, surplus and controllable uses before assessing profitability.
3. Contractual variant
Request a second, careful calculation in the event of changes in rates or remuneration.
References for “Law” for your project
- Federal Council, ordinances of the law on electricity: Local electricity communities, virtual RCP and minimum remuneration become operational from 2026.
- Federal Council, recovery remuneration 2027: From January 1, 2027, the legal remuneration model can be based on the market price at the time of injection if the DSO and the producer do not agree on another price.
- Swissolar, new model of retribution: Swissolar says the hourly spot price creates an incentive to store or consume solar electricity locally when prices are low.
Note the date of consultation and the scope of each source. National information does not replace or local rate or technical validation of your project.
Compare quotes on a solid basis
Ask for a reference variant and a conservative variant. Each must separate investment, self-consumption, injection, aid, schedule and responsibilities. You will see if the result holds with a less favorable hypothesis.
For the item “legal calendar”, the quote should state the data to confirm before work starts, who will check it and how changes will be handled.
Your next step
Prepare utility bill, roof information, existing contracts and comparable quotes. Answer in writing to open questions, then compare net price, annual profit and contractual consequences.
